Semmelweis HELP - A Decision Support Tool for Health Issues
Semmelweis HELP is a decision support tool developed by Semmelweis University professionals, creating a unique and credible medical knowledge base even at an international level. The system, with the help of the knowledge base and an algorithm, suggests how serious health issues the user is facing based on the symptoms perceived and how quickly the user needs medical care (relief of symptoms at home, GP visit, emergency care, 112 call). Semmelweis HELP does not provide an accurate diagnosis, but aims to help Hungarian families make decisions about their health. The application is currently suitable for symptom checking for the age group under 18, but the university would like to extend this to adults as well.
The result obtained is not an accurate diagnosis and is not a qualified medical opinion, as other factors may cause the symptoms, which require more thorough examinations, laboratory tests, or imaging tests. Please consult a doctor if you are concerned about the patient's health condition!
